At Gilded House, we believe a home is an investment as much as a sanctuary. We do not use 'all-purpose' methods; we use material-specific science to preserve the heritage and beauty of your residence."
Natural Stone & Masonry (Marble, Granite, Limestone, Slate)
The Ph-Neutral Standard: We use only acid-free, pH-neutral elixirs. Standard "all-purpose" or lemon-based cleaners are strictly prohibited to prevent chemical etching.
The Dual-Cloth Method: Surfaces are cleansed with a damp microfiber, followed immediately by a manual buff with a high-density dry cloth to eliminate streaks and water spots.
Saturation Prevention: We never "soak" stone. Moisture is applied sparingly to protect the integrity of the sealant and prevent deep-pore staining.
Sealing Audit: On a quarterly basis, we perform a "bead test" to ensure your stone remains hydrophobic and fully protected.
Heritage Wood & Fine Joinery (Oak, Walnut, Antique Furniture)
Directional Cleansing: All dusting and polishing follow the natural grain of the wood to prevent microscopic cross-scratches.
The Wax & Oil Protocol: We avoid silicone-based sprays (which create a "plastic" buildup). Instead, we use small-batch beeswax or lemon oil (where appropriate) to nourish the timber.
Humidity Awareness: We monitor for signs of timber stress (cracking or swelling) near heat sources and report these to the Principal immediately.
Architectural Metals (Brass, Copper, Polished Chrome)
Abrasive-Free Care: We use non-scratch cloths to ensure that gold-plating or polished finishes are never dulled by friction.
Oxidization Management: High-traffic brass (handles and switches) is hand-polished to remove oils and restore a mirror-like "Gilded" luster.
